Barn Sale!

Our Nashua showroom was empty after our last sale (thanks to all our great customers!),  but not for long!  We hit a great barn sale this week and have lots of new treasures to share!

We have wood and metal...

...rustic and rusty...

...boxes and crates...

...chicken coops...

...and a bit of red and white for the holidays!

We filled both cars, strapped stuff to the roof, even went back for seconds!

We've got a lot of scrubbing to do, but it's well worth it.  Visit our next show, the Saturday before Thanksgiving, to see how we transform our finds into unique and beautiful home decor!

See you soon!

Repurposed industrial cart

Once again, I'm kicking myself for not taking before photos.  Oh, how I wish you had seen this cart before it's amazing transformation.  It was bright green, no shelves and a flat metal bar across the top in the middle.  What was it?  I have no idea.  But I had a vision...

First, take the grinder out and remove the top bar.  Next, paint it white.  Third, build shelves using scrap lumber.

A little planing, a little sanding, a whitewash treatment, and some dark wax...and voila!  It's got the patina of barn wood!

This is a sizeable piece, perfect for a kitchen, entertaining area, living room, anywhere you need open storage.  I imagine it stacked high with stainless steel pots, white stoneware trays, bottles of wine...  See this piece and many other great one-of-a-kinds at the Barn Loft Grand Opening on September 29 and 30!

See you soon,
Michelle

Repurposed Industrial Desk

Check out this unique piece of furniture.
All the pieces have been repurposed from other items and then brought together
to create this hand made, one-of-a-kind piece of furniture.
Look at all the little extras!
Hooks and bars create fun ways to store and organize.
This could be used as a desk, as a bar, as a sideboard, as a crafting area or even as a
display piece in a retail environment.
Contact us if your interested in seeing this piece in person,
as it is for sale for $575.
A steal, if you happen to be a fan of the 'Restoration Hardware' style.

Finished Projects

The kids are in school (well, some of them) and we are kicking it into high gear as we prepare for our upcoming Open House.  It's sad to say good-bye to summer, but we each created great memories with our families and those are the best creations of all.

We have a few finished projects to share.  We hope they inspire you to stop in and see us!

Here's an old factory cart Michelle turned into a tea/cocktail cart (more about this piece on www.brooklinestreetstudio.blogspot.com).  This piece needed a top, new shelves, and a bit of TLC.  A few coats of wax or linseed oil and it will be ready for your next party!

And this is the potting bench you saw in our last post.  It's now repurposed as a kitchen island (a very large kitchen island!).  Michelle is on the lookout for an old breadboard for the top...wouldn't that be perfect?!

Besides giving this piece a serious scrub down and tune-up, Michelle added vintage hardware for hanging towels, pot and pans, baskets, whatever you need at your fingertips in the kitchen.

OK, back to work now!

Have a great day!
